The AT-9034 SmartSignaling program empowers users to perform various test configurations and utilize pre-programmed tests. These configurations include the mesh test with many-to-many ports, unidirectional or bi-directional 1-to-many ports, and unidirectional or bi-directional 1-to-1 ports. Each mode features user-definable forward and backward descriptors for call setups. For evaluating call setup and teardown capabilities, the AT-9034 enables peak call rate tests, allowing users to measure the maximum number of device setups and teardowns per second without encountering any issues. Furthermore, the call capacity test provides insights into the device's ability to handle concurrent connections of virtual circuits. SmartSignaling supports UNI 4.0, 3.1, and 3.0 signaling performance benchmarks, ensuring compatibility with ATM switches that comply with these standards. Testing is performed using at least two ATM SmartCards connected to the user side of the UNI interface.
In addition to its comprehensive testing capabilities, the AT-9034 SmartSignaling program offers an array of features to enhance efficiency and accuracy. It boasts high test capacity and incorporates a versatile line interface, Service Specific Connection Oriented Protocol (SSCOP), UNI signaling parameters, broadband bearer settings, ILMI parameters, and traffic descriptors. The line interface includes drop/receive/correct errored cell handling, a fully configurable idle cell header, internal/loop timed transmitted clock, and options for enabling/disabling HEC coset and cell scrambling. The broadband bearer capability encompasses class, timing, clipping susceptibility, and traffic type. The ILMI parameters consist of an end system identifier with fully specified upper 5 bytes, timer parameters including cold start timer and address register timeout, and an End System Identifier (ESI).
