The DLS 8130 VDSL2 Wireline Simulator accurately simulates the AC and DC characteristics of twisted pair copper telephony cable using passive circuitry (R, L, & C), which means attenuation, complex impedance, and velocity (propagation delay) of the wireline. The DLS 8130 can be modified to include external noise impairments. Spirent can provide you with information on suitable noise reduction equipment for your testing requirements.

The DLS 8130 VDSL2 Wireline Simulator is made up of two chassis: the DLS 8132 and the DLS 8131. The DLS 8130 can optionally connect to an external reach extension unit (for example, the DLS 410A or DLS 414A) for full automode or rate-adaptive testing at reaches of up to 23,500 feet for rate-adaptive chipsets (23.5 kft.). This unit is part of the Spirent 8130 system.
