The Spirent DX-10G-S32 is a cutting-edge HyperMetrics DX module designed to provide a solution that is cost-effective for testing ultra high-scale router and switch fabrics. These fabrics span across multiple chassis and can be expanded to support systems with hundreds or even thousands of ports. The DX-10G-S32 offers a fully compatible solution that integrates seamlessly with the Layer 2-7 traffic deep analysis and traffic generation capabilities of the HyperMetrics CV, CM, and mX modules. By combining this DX module with other compatible test modules, users can design test beds with the highest density, capacity, and performance.
The DX-10G-S32 finds wide compatibility across a range of applications, particularly in data center fabrics. It is capable of validating the forwarding performance, latency, and the working capacity of next-generation SPB and TRILL enabled cloud data center fabrics that are multi-terabit. Furthermore, it can be employed with terabit routers to emulate ISIS, OSPF, and BGP, enabling the validation of IP throughput and Multicast performance. With the ability to emulate hundreds of thousands of clients, this module facilitates an in-depth understanding of architecture efficiency, performance, and reliability. When used for subscriber access gateways, the DX-10G-S32 is capable of emulating millions of access subscribers utilizing different services across numerous ports under normal or full load traffic conditions. Its dynamically bound traffic and automated wizards make test setup a breeze for the DX module.
Power efficiency is a key aspect of the DX-10G-S32. It allows for the evaluation of real power usage and efficiency of router and switch blades and fabrics, both at low and full capacity load. As tests scale up to include hundreds or thousands of test ports, various challenges may arise. However, the DX-10G-S32 addresses these challenges by boasting automated energy efficiency. It ensures near-zero power usage of idle cores during no/low scale tests, while also offering automated low-power states that meet the requirements of any ongoing test. Additionally, the DX module supports 1G mode operation, providing users with added flexibility and cost savings, especially for those who require both 10G and 1G high-density test solutions. Its compatibility with a virtual test center enables high-density testing throughout the physical and virtual data center infrastructure.
