The ECG-3000R by Spirent is a highly versatile Abacus 5000 ECG3 subsystem designed for testing and emulating analog two-wire circuit subscriber connections. It offers users a total of fourteen FXO ports, or circuits, which can be configured as either terminating (called party) or originating (calling party) channels. Users have the flexibility to simulate a wide range of network and switch testing scenarios, as well as emulate analog circuits to replicate analog subscriber connections. The ECG-3000R is particularly advantageous for testing PSTN/analog networks and services, as well as converged IP telephony, by providing comprehensive performance and functionality testing for V.34, T.30 fax, and analog data modems.

The ECG-3000R is cost effective because of to the extensive flexibility it offers users for convergence testing, including analog, TDM, and synchronized measurements, all within a unified user interface. As a result, the ECG-3000R is well-suited for various applications such as VoIP convergence, voicemail and voice response detection (IVR), FTTP/PON/VoIP, and transmission equipment/channel banks/multiplexer applications.
