The MX-100G-F1 by Spirent is a cutting-edge HyperMetrics neXt test module designed to deliver exceptional performance and scalability in high-speed Ethernet networks. This module, equipped with Cloud Core processing capabilities, offers two ports for 100G connectivity and four ports for 40G connectivity, making it ideal for testing and validating the robustness of various network components. With its emphasis on data plane Quality of Service (QoS), the MX-100G-F1 ensures high-performance traffic and verifies the scalability of critical elements such as security, application, access, and routing protocols. Its primary focus lies in the testing of multi-terabit routers and high-scale cloud infrastructures, providing a compact and efficient solution for high-speed Ethernet testing in a rack unit.
The MX-100G-F1 serves a wide range of applications, including testing high-scale terabit routers that operate on both 40G and 100G Ethernet core routers. It is also capable of validating IP throughput and Any G mobility with millions of subscribers in high-capacity multi-service routers. Moreover, it can assess the forwarding performance and functional capabilities of data center fabrics. To emulate multiple layers of network protocols and perform cause and effect analysis in real-time, this module requires a compatible tester. Notably, the MX-100G-F1 boasts Cloud Core processing, which leverages patent-pending technologies. These technologies enhance the capabilities of the TestCenter Layer 2-7 software by enabling elastic computing. By utilizing Cloud Core, the module extends its processes across various X86 processor threads and cores, enabling the parallel testing of tasks.
The MX-100G-F1 offers several advantages to users. It enhances productivity and facilitates Avalanche Layer 4-7 quality of experience testing. The module provides reliable and authentic testing, coupled with flexible and extensive reporting capabilities. Real-time statistics of critical variables across a broad range of protocols are reported, and SNMP statistics from the components under test can be correlated with statistics from the TestCenter. To utilize the MX-100G-F1, users will need a BPK-1001A for packet generation and analysis, a Windows-based workstation with a 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet NIC, and a mouse and color monitor for GUI operation. Alternatively, a Linux or Windows-based workstation can be used for TcI automation in conjunction with this module.
