The NG-100G-F2 by Spirent is a LAN/SAN HyperMetrics 40/100G Ethernet module designed specifically for conducting high-quality network testing. It incorporates advanced features such as a 100G/2 port 40G Ethernet cable and a two-slot CFP module capable of supporting both 40G and 100G connections. The CFP modules are equipped with QSFP optics that can be utilized with an adapter. The NG-100G-F2 stands out for its comprehensive Layer 2-7 measurements, including Layer 1 Lane Skew and PRBS measurements. These extensive measurement capabilities allow for a thorough assessment of Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE). Furthermore, this module plays a crucial role in emulating real-world network scenarios and traffic patterns, providing invaluable insights into network performance.

To operate the NG-100G-F2, it must be installed into a CPU-5004A chassis. Any slot, except for the first one, can accommodate the module. After successful installation, the Status LED should illuminate green, and the chassis module should be positioned immediately to the left of the module. Subsequently, once the chassis' LED also turns green, the module will be fully functional, ready for network testing.
