The NIC-27 by Spirent is a high-performance Network Interface Card (NIC) equipped with a powerful 10 Gbps SFP+ Ethernet adapter featuring custom FPGS. As a dual-port card, the NIC-27 is specifically engineered to be seamlessly compatible with the Landslide C100 appliance operating system. When installed in the C100, the NICs are automatically detected and assigned logical port names in a predetermined order that cannot be altered by the user. This order is determined based on factors such as the number, location, and type of NICs installed in the C100. Such meticulous placement and port assignment within the C100 are meticulously optimized to ensure the Landslide application achieves the highest possible performance levels. It is important to note that the discovery process and logical port assignment of the NICs are fixed and cannot be modified by the user. The NIC-27 also boasts several advanced features, including a multimode fiber interface, a wavelength of 850 nm, and a 10GBASE-SR interface.
