The NIC-32 by Spirent is a specialized Network Interface Card (NIC) designed to seamlessly integrate with the Landslide C100 appliance. When installed in the Landslide C100 appliance, the operating system of the appliance automatically identifies and configures the NICs present, assigning local port names to each NIC port in a predetermined and unalterable sequence. This assignment is influenced by factors such as the number, location, and type of NICs installed in the C100. It is important to note that this discovery and logical port assignment process cannot be modified or overridden by the user. As part of the standard factory default test server configuration, two NIC-32 quad-port, copper Ethernet NICs are pre-installed in slots 2 and 5 of the C100. These NIC ports are conveniently labeled as eth2 through eth9 for easy identification and reference.
