The SR8068 by Spirent is a test configuration unit (TCU) designed to support LTE Automated and EV-DO test systems. This versatile TCU enables users to conduct testing for both LTE and EV-DO technologies on a single system. By utilizing instruments such as ESGs, Faders, and spectrum analyzers across these two wireless technologies, significant cost savings can be achieved. Unlike alternative TCU options, the SR8068 distinguishes itself by employing an Ethernet connection instead of relying on the Agilent 3499B for control. The unit is directly connected to the router, facilitating convenient and efficient control over the Ethernet interface. With the integration of the EV-DO ATS feature, the SR8068 allows for three primary configurations of the Access Terminal-Base Station Link, thus expanding testing possibilities. For EV-DO Rev B Multicarrier Tests, users can incorporate one or two auxiliary Base Station emulators, connected via a three-to-one combiner, further enhancing the capabilities of the TCU.
