The SX-7205 by Spirent is a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet SmartCard designed for comprehensive testing within a SMB-200/2000 chassis. This SmartCard leverages the Advanced Switch Tests II, employing the SmartAPI framework to deliver efficient and accurate test routines that evaluate the reliability and speed of network bridges, switches, and routers. Installed in a single slot on the chassis, this SmartCard enables the chassis to accommodate multiple cards simultaneously, with each card featuring one dedicated port. This flexibility allows for versatile configurations tailored to specific testing requirements. The SX-7205 is fully compatible with a range of Ethernet devices and backbones, as well as supporting essential applications such as AST, SmartLib, SmartApplications, and SmartWindow. With optimization specifically geared towards conformance, performance, and interoperability testing, this SmartCard excels at capturing packet data of up to 128,000 bytes. Its capabilities extend further with the inclusion of a recycle count feature on the VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display). Activating this feature enables users to define a predetermined value, which the VFD will increment or decrement accordingly. Upon reaching the specified count, the VFD automatically resets to its original starting value, enhancing operational efficiency.
