The SX-7210 by Spirent is an 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Base-TX SmartCard equipped with VLAN and Data Capture capabilities designed for use in the SMB-200/2000 chassis. The SmartCard occupies a single slot within the chassis, offering convenience and efficiency. This SmartCard is fully compatible with various Spirent applications, including SmartWindow, SmartLib, SmartApplications, and AST applications. It is primarily used for testing Ethernet devices and backbones, serving as a reliable tool for performance, conformance, and interoperability testing. One of the key features of the SX-7210 is its data capture functionality, which allows for the capture of up to 128,000 bytes of packet data. This capability enhances the diagnostic capabilities of the SmartCard, enabling users to analyze network traffic more comprehensively. Furthermore, this SmartCard supports an interface other than the standard 100 Base-TX, requiring the use of a SmartCard with an external MII transceiver.
