The LAN-3302A by Spirent is an Ethernet TeraMetrics Module designed for high-performance network analysis. With its two ports and compatibility with SmartBits 600/6000 series chassis, it offers reliable connectivity and extensive functionality. This module is specifically built to support the 10/100Base-T Ethernet standard. When combined with the SmartBits chassis, the LAN-3302A enables live network testing, network interface card (NIC) evaluation, VLAN and ELAN configurations, as well as compatibility with switching hubs, routers, repeaters, and bridge network types.

The LAN-3302A’s 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port facilitates remote device testing by establishing a connection to the SmartBits chassis through a local Ethernet network. The SmartBits chassis not only provides a user-friendly serial console interface for easy configuration but also offers high resolution and accuracy through an internal clock. Additionally, it supports external clock synchronization, allowing for precise measurements across different systems. Furthermore, the LAN-3302A is compatible with an Ethernet port that links to the user's PC or UNIX workstation. This port significantly reduces the time required to update SmartBits chassis and module firmware, as well as facilitating configuration downloads and data uploads.
