The LAN-3710AE by Spirent is a 10GBase-ER Ethernet test module designed to support the SmartBits 6000C chassis. This module features a single port and occupies two slots within the chassis. It operates in single mode at a wavelength of 1550 nm. To ensure compatibility, the LAN-3710AE can be paired with a suitable chassis that meets the required port density and technological specifications. Notably, this module can work alongside 12 different modules within the same chassis.

For enhanced security and multi-user functionality, the LAN-3710AE can be securely mounted within the chassis using an optional LockBar accessory. This configuration enables simultaneous operation of the chassis by multiple users. Furthermore, multiple SmartBits 6000C chassis can be interconnected, allowing users to conduct automated large-scale testing in high-volume environments such as Quality Control production settings. With a straightforward cable connection or a multi-chassis extension unit, up to 8 chassis can be interconnected. In fact, by employing the multi-chassis extension unit, a total of 512 chassis can be interconnected.
